Creative Director at TBWA\Chiat\Day

Tescia Deák is an award-winning Creative Director currently at TBWA\Chiat\Day LA. She is a multi-disciplinary artist and thinker who loves the challenge of solving problems through creativity, entertainment, inclusion, and empathy. Over her career, she has created a tool to deliver more equitable search results on Google with Pantene, the first "Coverboy" for Covergirl, and 06-second films for that debuted at Sundance, repositioning Lil Red Riding Hood as a statement for the "Me Too" movement and her work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, D&AD One Show, and Clios. In Tescia’s spare time, she works on projects that support a more equitable world, including an ongoing role with Period.org to advocate for menstrual equity. With a team at TBWA\Chiat\Day LA she launched #PeriodPiecePSAs — a social awareness campaign that parodies the absurdity of period poverty through period dramas. In 2021 Tescia co-created Mentorship Matchmaking with Laurel Stark, a remote mentorship initiative that hosted 400 women and non-binary advertising professionals globally. Additionally, she has been a mentor and a judge for One Club Next Creative Leaders 2021, One Club Creative Boot Camp 2018/19, 100 Roses from Concrete G.R.O.W.T.H. Initiative, The Side Show Awards 2021, Cannes Lions Future Lions 2021, and was a selected attendee of The One Club’s Right the Ratio Conference in 2020. Tescia is passionate about redefining what's possible when we push the industry and ideas forward through innovation, creativity, and empathy.
